Kevin Teng the Basketball God.

So I don't really believe this shit but Kevin Teng this mainland Chinese boy is like the basketball god!

I was watching Game 3 of the Rockets/Jazz series when the Rockets had a comfortable 7 point cushion with just over a minute to go. Kenny was asking about the score and I told him and we were both expecting a win.

At this time, Kevin says.

"Rockets are gonna win... Unless the Jazz hit 2 3 pointers"

So courtesy of NBA.com, here is the play by play.

1:05
[UTA 89-93]
Korver 3pt Shot: Made (5 PTS)
Assist: Williams (11 AST)

0:37
[UTA 92-93]
Okur 3pt Shot: Made (12 PTS)
Assist: Williams (12 AST)

And with that, the lead was down to 1. The Rockets pulled the game out thanks to a great block AND save by Carl Landry. The save was huge because if he blocked it out of bounds Boozer was probably going to score with like 3 seconds left on the clock.

So that was Game 3.

Game 4 I was watching at home and Kevin asks me for the link to watch the game.

I give it to him, not expecting him to make any of those stupid calls.

With the Rockets having close to a double digit deficit, Kevin says: Rockets are gonna lose... unless they hit 2 3 pointers.

I copy and pasted this to Brian just for the fun of it.

With the Rockets down 8 with just about a minute to play, I knew it was pretty much over.

and then, I saw Battier spotting up for a long 3.

Battier 3pt Shot: Made (10 PTS)
Assist: McGrady (8 AST)
0:51
[HOU 77-82]

I suddenly go WTF. But still, a 5 point game.

And then...

Alston 3pt Shot: Made (15 PTS)0:15
[HOU 80-82]

And this was no ordinary 3. It was like a fading to the right with 2 legs kicking up 3.

And with that the Rockets were down 2 with 15 seconds to go.

Deron Williams misses both free throws, Rockets fail to secure a rebound and they end up fouling Okur who puts the finishing touches to Game 4.

I know both times the team that hit 2 3 pointers didn't win, but the fact that BOTH times he said it it both happened...

Wow.

The Rockets Suck

They're like last year's Wizards. They're wasting a playoff spot. They can't compete.

NBA: Where AMAZING Happens!

It's 6:14 AM right now. I stayed up the whole night to watch basketball and Suns/Spurs are still playing. I watched Cavs/Wizards first which was ok. Close game to the end. Gilbert Arenas was big in the beginning but choked it up.

Suns and Spurs Game 1 is a fucking classic. Spurs down, a comeback in the 4th, Michael Finley 3 to tie it up and send it into overtime. In overtime, Nash hits some big shots and it looks like the Spurs pull away, but Tim Duncan keeps it up, scoring. Then someone draws a charge on Amare. Spurs down 3, 12.6 to play. Tony Parker drives, kicks it out to a wide open Tim Duncan who shoots the 3 and makes it with 3 seconds to play, and the Spurs go to 2OT which is in progress.

Parker fouled Nash on a 3 so now he's shooting 3 free throws... Makes 2 and ties it up at 110 with just under 2 minute to play.

Ginobili floats in a lay up, Spurs up 112-110.

This is a crazy ass game right here.

Now with 1:07 left in double overtime, Spurs up 114-112.

Amare and Tony Parker both fouled out. Shaq and Diaw both have 5 fouls.

Brent Barry splits, Puts the Spurs up 3, Nash shoots a 3 to tie but Ginobili wins the game.

Best game ever.

BEHOLD! Jordan's TV Watching schedule!

Sunday - House, Scrubs
Monday - One Tree Hill, How I Met Your Mother
Tuesday - Gossip Girl, The Big Bang Theory
Wednesday - Prison Break, Family Guy
Thursday - Grey's Anatomy, My Name is Earl
Friday - Desperate Housewives, The Office
Saturday - Lost, South Park

How it works

Each day there is 1 40 minute show and 1 20 minute show, so I dedicate 1 hour each day to watch a show. If time permits I will watch more (of the same show).

When I am up to date on one show, the show with the most episodes that fits the episode length will be slotted in, so when I am finished with Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill will take its place.

New shows will be introduced. The ones I have in mind are

Dexter, Numb3rs and Weeds.

YEA!

The Playoffs are here!

And fuck I'm excited! There are some pretty exciting match ups in the first round! I'm pretty happy that the Rockets made it, pretty sad that the Warriors missed it. Nuggets are just kinda shit and no one really cares about them.

So, here are Jordan's 2008 Playoffs Analysis + Predictions!

WEST

Los Angeles Lakers (1) VS Denver Nuggets (8)

I say Los Angeles takes this one in 6.

Nuggets win 2 of the first 3, the haters start piling up on Kobe and then he closes the series out.

What to expect - Kobe Bryant with at least 1 40 point game. Sasha Vujacic and Jordan Farmar stepping up big. Either AI or Melo having an off game while the other one gets it going on. I see Kenyon having some big games in this series.

What not to expect - Andrew Bynum? :(. Marcus Camby. He's just an overrated piece of shit on defense. A well contested shot is just as good as a block.

New Orleans (2) VS Dallas Mavericks (7)

Dallas with the upset in 5.

Hornets win the first, Dallas win next 4.

What to expect - Jason Kidd with some near triple doubles, hitting some big shots, Dirk Nowitzki averaging close to 35 Points a game. Chris Paul having some 20 point games but on 4-14 shooting with the bulk from free throws. Lots of assists. Bonzi stepping up big. Peja Stojakovic leading scorer for the Hornets. Hornets losing a few close games because they can't close the game out.

What not to expect - The Hornets to win. Not expecting David West to be any good. Maybe one good game.

San Antonio Spurs (3) VS Phoenix Suns (6)

Phoenix in 5. After the Shaq trade I think it's going to be Phoenix for the Championship. So here it is. Great match up here. I remember watching Game 6 where San Antonio won. That was some quality basketball. Shaq VS Duncan will be a great match up because they're both the winning-est people.

What to expect - Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker carrying the scoring load. Shaq coming up big, especially with free throws. Tim Duncan schooling Amare. Robert Horry hitting some big shots.

What not to expect - Tim Duncan won't be as good with Mr. O'Neal on him, but Timmy VS Shaq will be very interesting to see.

Utah (4) VS Houston (5)

Houston have home court advantage, but I just see Jazz winning this one. As well the Rockets have played, especially during that win streak, the Jazz will probably win. I remember that Rockets game against Suns, Rockets played really well but they still couldn't stop Nash and Amare pick and roll. If the Jazz keep going with the pick and roll the Rockets are going to be pretty fucked. If they try and pound Boozer down low, expect Chuck Hayes to be able to force him to maybe 50% shooting, but Rockets just won't have much scoring.

Their primary offensive weapons, McGrady and Rafer are both really streaky. T-Mac on fire owns Kobe on fire. He can hit every damn shot. Rafer can sometimes be really good but in the playoffs I just see him being normal Rafer again.

Battier can't create a shot for himself, Carl Landry's offense is off offensive boards, so Rockets are pretty fucked on offense unless there is McGrady.

This series really is on McGrady.

I say the Jazz win in 5.

What to expect - Another first round exit for McGrady.

What not to expect - T-Mac to bring it every game.

EAST

Boston Celtics (1) VS Atlanta Hawks (8)

Boston with the sweep. No explanation needed here.

What to expect - A few highlight reel plays from Josh Smith and Al Horford, plenty of ET.

What not to expect - Joe Johnson and Mike Bibby. When your real scorers are both jump shooters you're pretty fucked. Boston have the best defense in the league.

Detroit Pistons (2) VS Philadelphia 76ers (7)

Detroit in 4. People remember they are still in the league.

What to expect - Random Sixers stepping up. Iguodala is gonna get fucked up Dwight Howard style. Andre Miller will be the only guy with a clue of what to do but he won't be able to score too efficiently.

What not to expect - Iguodala. He will suck and people will be like yea he's a second option at best.

Orlando (3) VS Toronto (6)

Raptors in 7, someone hits a go ahead shot in Game 7 and Hedo or Shard come up short.

What to expect - RASHO NESTEROVIC.

What not to expect - Dwight Howard going crazy, Chris Bosh getting double doubles.

Cleveland Cavaliers (4) VS Washington Wizards (5)

Another exciting match up, they've met in the first round for like 3 years in a row, except last year the Wizards were missing Gilbert Arenas and Caron Butler.

What to expect - LeBron going 5-20 but still scoring 30 points because of the ass kissing he gets from the refs. LeBron with some traveling big shots.

What not to expect - Gilbert being trigger happy. I think after this injury he's gonna stop being as cocky after all the hate he's received. He will play a lot smarter and involve Caron and Antawn a lot more.

Comments enabled

Now anyone can leave comments on my blog. So you phantom readers better start commenting! :) (yes you boris!)

So recently there's been some drug problems in my school. Pretty scary huh. I guess it's part of growing up. People start smoking, drinking and smoke weed. So that's pretty jacked.

Ok wtf. I need to get off my blog and do my English homework.

An essay on Alfieri's importance to the play. :)

Hello all.

Yea. So much for daily blog. Right now I'm at home with a bad back and waiting for the Kansas-UNC game to resume. (It's halftime right now).

So lately I have started watching quite a few shows thanks to Sidereel.com. If you don't know what it is, it is a website that has lots of links to watch all kinds of shows and movies (I think alluc.org still wins on amount of movies.) So recently I have started watching Lost, House, and How I Met Your Mother.

I have watched 6 episodes of Lost and I don't know what to make of it. I think it's pretty good and there's obviously a lot more going on, because 4 seasons of some guys stuck on an island? I don't think so.

I watched the first episode of House and I'm pretty impressed. My mom loves this show in addition to Greys Anatomy and some other shows. It's a pretty awesome show.

How I Met Your Mother is just good pure comedy. Probably not the funniest show out there but I'd say it's pretty damn funny. :)
