To be honest I don't really have a clue about US Politics since I haven't been living here long and I haven't been paying much attention to the news and I don't really know what this whole 'change' thing is about (yea whatever haters.) but hopefully I'll understand this in like a couple of months. or years.
But today is a historic moment that my future kids will be looking at in their textbooks according to my history teacher (but apparently this is a history teacher technique to get people to pay attention) but yea. The first (half) African-American president. The 44th president of the United States.
So a breakdown of my whole January 20th so when my kids or whatevers ask me when I'm an adult "Wait you were alive when Barack Obama became President!?!??! What did you do!?!?!?" I have an answer.
So this was the beginning of the 2nd semester and I have just completed my first semester of school in America. I was going to set the alarm for 6:50 but I forgot about Daylight Saving or whatever so I woke up at 5:50 in the morning and I decided not to go back to sleep because I will be super tired when I wake up.
So I go to school slightly early because I needed to get my schedule. I got my schedule from a black(!) woman. Then I go to Contemporary World History (OMG) to watch the Inauguration. I see all these random white people walk out and then like Barack Obama's daughters walk out. Then when the camera went on to Barack Obama I just had that feeling where you would put your hands up when like Ray Allen or Marco Belinelli or Steve Novak is open for a 3 pointer. The bell rang and I went to Photo class and I continued watching the Inauguration. Apparently the elite judge or someone messed up when he said the oath but it was all good.
And then the ball rang again and that was it. I saw a truly historic moment!!!
Other details
Clothes - I was wearing my JAWNZ. A white T-shirt. A BLACK Puma hoody (I wasn't thinking when I put it on but ya). BLACK boxers (I didn't even know) and white chucks and some low (not ankle) champion socks.
Fuudz - I had leftover soup + noodle for breakfast. I bought lunch at school. I had salad. It was like chicken(!!!!) salad with shit loads of parmesan cheese and it had an ok Caesar salad dressing. When I got home I had this yummy creamy cheddar cheese with bacon and chive bits with delicious multi grain crackers. Then my sister comes home with half of a $5 foot long (meaty marinara) from subway and then for dinner I had vegetables and steak.
I watched an episode of Lost and Scrubs as well.
Music - I didn't really listen to anything but I guess one song that comes up to my mind is 2Pac's Changes. Time to go listen to it now.
Oh I just heard 'It's A New Day' by will.i.am pretty cool. TEEHEE

What a day.
But Barack Obama better be a good president. He has more hype than SB Dunks.
